Artistic Threads
Advanced cross-stitch uses multiple shades of each and every color, as well as the combining of more than one color into each stitch. This is what makes the animals and the landscape come alive with depth and contrast. Utilizing a full, half or a quarter cross-stitch and varying the number of threads per stitch gives the craft a 3D effect.
Every piece I stitch is professionally and custom-framed framed and matted. I’ve also selected specific shades of matts to compliment the art. The Museum Glass on the large pieces reminds me of living in the country, looking out the window and seeing the refreshing and renewing outdoor environment.
Each time I look at one of my pieces, I feel like I am outdoors. That always makes me smile. I hope my pieces do the same for you.
with love,
Linda Hays

I have always been an animal lover, but this grew into a real appreciation of all wildlife after living on acreage in rural Oklahoma.
Our menagerie included cows, goats, horses, chickens, dogs, cats, birds and so on. Additionally, there was a plethora of wildlife in the woods around us. It was quiet, serene, and peaceful. It was wonderful to look out the window and see a herd of deer!
