Wire Weaver
Higher education in the arts during the 1970s-80s led me to many skills and business ventures in numerous mediums. Because I was 'hooked' by the marriage of textiles in metal, I settled into my WireWeaver business in 1989, doing an average of 25 juried art shows a year in the western US. Due to my work with the public, my designs and direction were influenced by sales, but my vivid imagination and mastery of my craft always allowed for exciting new pieces. Having attained the status of elder, my business is winding down, I do fewer shows now and stay local.
Gold-fill, sterling & colored copper wire is handcrafted with beads in the textile techniques of crochet & knit, creating dramatic wearable art & fanciful jewelry in an array of designs & prices.
