Mia Frush
This special symbol has been made and used throughout North American cultures for thousands of years. Originally crafted by the Huichol (Wixáritari) Indians and used for protection and spiritual traditions.
My mother first started making jewelry that incorporated Ojo De Dios in the early 1960s in Tubac and Nogales AZ. Last year I decided to create a line with updated and modernized pieces that represent my love of Mexico, my mother and my southwest roots. I do small shows throughout the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area and will be proudly presenting at the Santa Fe Spanish Market.
Materials:
All pieces are hand cast, cut and soldered in sterling silver. Wound with fine silver or threads that are specially treated or hand dyed. Any accent beads used are natural gemstones or vintage glass Mexican beads.
